Use this guide to connect a device to power, connect it to a TV, and bring it online with Personal Hotspot on an iOS device.
Before You Begin
- Plug in the device and keep it powered on.
- Check the front of the device for a solid or blinking blue light.
- If you are using Wi-Fi, have an iPhone or iPad with cellular data available.
- If you are using Ethernet instead, plug an Ethernet cable directly from the device to the router.

Connect the Device to Your TV
- Keep the device connected to power.
- Plug the short HDMI extender into the device’s HDMI port.
- Insert the free end of the extender into an available HDMI port on the TV.
- Use the TV remote to switch to the matching HDMI input, such as HDMI 1.

Set Up the iOS Personal Hotspot
- Open Settings on the iOS device.

- Tap General.

- Tap About.

- Tap Name.

- Change the device name to ENS, then tap Done.

- Turn Cellular Data on.

- Return to Settings, then tap Personal Hotspot.

- Turn on Allow Others to Join, then tap Wi-Fi Password.

- Change the Wi-Fi password to ensdevicego!, then save your changes.

- Keep the hotspot enabled and wait a few minutes while the device connects to the ENS signal.
Confirm the Device Status
Sign in to RunSam.com and check the device status.

- Green means the device is online and has successfully connected.
- Red means the device is still offline. Wait another minute and refresh the page. If the status remains red, verify that the hotspot name is ENS, the password is ensdevicego!, and the hotspot is still enabled.
Troubleshooting
- If no blue light is visible, check the power cable and wall outlet.
- If the TV shows No Signal, confirm the HDMI extender is securely connected and the TV is set to the correct HDMI input.
- If the device does not come online over Wi-Fi, double-check the hotspot name and password, then confirm the iOS hotspot is still active.
Expected Result
The device remains powered on, displays through the selected TV input, and appears online in RunS.A.M.
