Use this guide to connect a powered-on S.A.M. Stick device to the internet with Mobile Hotspot on an Android device.

Before You Begin

  1. Plug in and power on the S.A.M. Stick device.
  2. Verify that the blue indicator light on the device is illuminated. This confirms that the device is powered on.
  3. Once the device is powered on, follow the steps below.

Connect With Android Mobile Hotspot

  1. Open Settings on the Android device.

  1. Tap Connections.

  1. Tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.

  1. Turn on Mobile Hotspot by tapping the toggle switch.

  1. Tap Mobile Hotspot to configure the hotspot settings.
  2. Tap Configure.

  1. Set Hotspot Name (SSID) to ENS.
  2. Set Password to ensdevicego!.
  3. Tap Save.

  1. Verify that Mobile Hotspot is turned on.

  1. Wait a few minutes while the S.A.M. Stick connects to the hotspot.

Confirm the Device Status

Sign in to your RunSam.com account and check the device status.

  • Green means the device is online and has successfully connected.
  • Red means the device is still offline. Wait another minute and refresh the page. If the status remains red, verify that the hotspot settings are configured correctly and that Mobile Hotspot is still enabled.

Expected Result

The Android device remains available as a Mobile Hotspot, and the S.A.M. Stick appears online in RunS.A.M.
